LifeStraw takes pride in the products we make and stand by the quality, materials and workmanship of our products. All LifeStraw products and parts (excluding LifeStraw Carbon Filters) are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 3 years. 

LifeStraw 3-Year Limited Warranty

Your LifeStraw product is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of three (3) years from the date of purchase (“Warranty Period”) when used in compliance with the user guide. This three-year limited warranty (“Limited Warranty”) does not apply to normal wear and tear, breakage or damage from dropping, or damage from accidents, misuse (including failure to follow product documentation), lost or stolen products, neglect, disassembly, alterations, and external causes such as thermal or environmental conditions. 

Warranty does not cover any products that were purchased, used or refurbished.

In instances where your warranty-eligible LifeStraw product needs repair or replacement, but we no longer manufacture the product, we may offer to replace your product with one of comparable value and function.

Note: The 3-Year Limited Warranty excludes LifeStraw Carbon Filters; these are covered under a separate, 60-day limited warranty.

LifeStraw Carbon Filters 60 -Day Limited Warranty

Your LifeStraw Carbon Filters are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship or a period of sixty (60) days from the date of purchase (“Warranty Period”) when used in compliance with the user guide. This 60-day limited warranty (“Limited Warranty”) does not apply to normal wear and tear, breakage or damage from accidents, misuse (including failure to follow product documentation), lost or stolen products, neglect, disassembly, alterations, and external causes such as environmental conditions. 

The LifeStraw Limited Warranty does not cover any products that were purchased, used or refurbished.

How  Do I Make A Warranty Claim for My LifeStraw® Product? 

If for any reason your LifeStraw product proves to be defective within the Warranty Period, please email info@lifestraw.com. Your warranty claim must include the following information: (i) model number of your LifeStraw product; (ii) description and at least two photos of the defect; (iii) your full address and contact information; and (iv) your purchase receipt or other proof of the date purchased. 

Your Sole and Exclusive Remedy Under Your  LifeStraw Warranty 

If a defect arises and you return your LifeStraw product during the Warranty Period, VESTERGAARD FRANDSEN INC. DBA LifeStraw (“LifeStraw”) will, in its sole discretion and to the extent permitted by law, either replace the defective part with a new one that is functionally at least equivalent to yours, or refund all or part of the amount you paid for the product, exclusive of shipping. Monetary refunds are available only for warranty-eligible products purchased directly on LifeStraw.com. Warranty-eligible products purchased through other channels will only be considered for product or component replacement. If we replace your LifeStraw product, the replaced product will continue to be warranted for the remaining time of the original Warranty Period. All returned parts for which you have received a refund or replacement will become the property of LifeStraw, and LifeStraw reserves the right to request that you mail the product to back to us at no cost to you. The LifeStraw Limited Warranty does not cover any additional property other than the LifeStraw product.

LifeStraw Warranty Limitations and Exclusions

This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. 

No representative of LifeStraw and its affiliates or any third party is authorized to make any modification, extension or addition to this Limited Warranty. If any term of this Limited Warranty is held to be illegal or unenforceable, the remaining terms of this Limited Warranty will remain in full force and effect. 

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS THE ONLY EXPRESS WARRANTY LIFESTRAW PROVIDES FOR YOUR LIFESTRAW PRODUCT AND THE ABOVE REMEDY IS YOUR SOLE REMEDY. LIFESTRAW EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES AND REMEDIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, STATUTORY, OR IMPLIED, EXCEPT THAT ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE EXPRESS WARRANTY PERIOD. 


YOU EXPRESSLY UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LIFESTRAW AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO YOU UNDER ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY—WHETHER CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE) OR OTHERWISE—FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES THAT MAY BE INCURRED BY YOU IN CONNECTION WITH YOU LIFESTRAW PRODUCT OR THESE TERMS, WHETHER OR NOT LIFESTRAW OR ITS REPRESENTATIVES HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF OR SHOULD HAVE BEEN AWARE OF THE POSSIBILITY OF ANY SUCH LOSSES ARISING. YOU EXPRESSLY UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY IN CONNECTION WITH LIFESTRAW PRODUCT OR THIS LIMITED WARRANTY WILL NOT EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE THAT YOU ACTUALLY PAID.

SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG A WARRANTY LASTS, OR THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

Right of Withdrawal

This online store ships only to consumers in European Union member states. We do not ship to the United Kingdom, Norway, Switzerland, or other non-EU countries.

As a consumer in the EU, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you, or a third party other than the carrier indicated by you, acquire physical possession of the goods. Where your order is delivered in multiple shipments, the period runs from the day you receive the last item.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, inform us of your decision by a clear statement. The easiest way is to use the withdrawal function at the foot of every page of this website (under "Withdrawal Request"), which lets you submit your withdrawal online and receive confirmation by email. You may also contact us at info@lifestraw.com. To meet the deadline, it is enough to send your communication before the 14-day period expires.

Effects of withdrawal. If you withdraw, we will reimburse all payments received from you, including standard delivery costs (except for supplementary costs arising if you chose a delivery type other than the least expensive standard delivery we offer). We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and no later than 14 days after the day we are informed of your decision. We will use the same means of payment you used for the original transaction. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or until you have supplied evidence of having sent them back, whichever is earliest.

Returning the goods. Send the goods back without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day you communicate your withdrawal. You will bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods.

Exceptions. The right of withdrawal does not apply to sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons if they have been unsealed after delivery.
